I am Nicky Strouts, a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an evidence based therapy used for a wide range of mental health conditions including Anxiety Disorders, Fear, Depression/Low Mood, Grief and Bereavement, Phobias Stress, Self Esteem, Anger Issues, and Trauma Related Difficulties.
What is CBT Therapy?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think, feel and behave.
CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and behaviours are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can keep you in a vicious cycle. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy focuses on changing our automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to emotional difficulties including depression, and anxiety.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts.
